Jordan To Increase Electricity Exports To Palestine

AMMAN, Jordan, July 8 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, said on Sunday that, the country will increase exports of electricity to more Palestinian areas.

Jordan will increase electricity supply capacity from 25 megawatts to 80 megawatts, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Hala Zawati, said, in a statement, to the media.

Besides Jericho and other Palestinian areas in the Jordan Valley, areas near Jerusalem, including Abu Dis and Al-Eizariya, will also get electricity supply from Jordan, according to the statement.

Palestinian Finance Minister, Shukri Bishara, said, the project will start in two months’ time, and the power supply will be increased in seven months.– NNN-PETRA
