Jordan Welcomes Sudan’s Power-Sharing Agreement

AMMAN, Jordan, July 7 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan, on Saturday, expressed its welcome for a power-sharing deal between Sudan’s conflicting parties.

Sufian Qudah, spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, highlighted the significance of maintaining Sudan’s security and stability.

He also expressed Jordan’s support for Sudan, to overcome the challenges during the transitional period.

Sudan has been plagued by nationwide unrest, since former President, Omar al-Bashir, was ousted by the military in April.

The opposition Freedom and Change Alliance, has since been negotiating with the Transitional Military Council, over the rule of the country, with the mediation of the African Union and Ethiopia.– NNN-PETRA
