MUSCAT, Oman, July 4 (NNN-ONA) – Petroleum Development Oman’s (PDO’s) Rabab Harweel Integrated Project (RHIP), has started gas production, PDO announced, yesterday (Wednesday).
RHIP is an integrated oil and gas development project, across the Rabab and Harweel reservoirs in southern Oman, the largest capital project in PDO’s history, with a reserve of more than 500 million barrels of oil equivalent.
The RHIP has launched its production ahead of schedule, and well below the budget, said PDO’s Managing Director, Raoul Restucci, adding that, the investment returns are “substantial and robust at low oil prices.”
“The start-up of RHIP marks a significant milestone for the project. Everyone involved should be very proud of the work that has been delivered to reach this point,” said PDO’s Project Delivery Manager, Shihab Al Barwani.– NNN-ONA
