Arab League Condemns Israel’s Opening Of Tunnel In East Jerusalem

CAIRO, Egypt, July 2 (NNN-MENA) – The Arab League (AL), condemned in the strongest terms, Israel’s opening of a tunnel, running under a Palestinian village, in East Jerusalem, during an archaeological event organised by an Israeli settler-linked group, the AL said in a statement.

AL Assistant Secretary General, Saeed Abu Ali, warned against “the repercussions of Israel’s continued digging operations in the occupied Jerusalem.”

He added, the Israeli settlement practices represent a flagrant violation of international law.

The Al’s statement stressed “rejection for any Israeli attempts to change the identity of the old city of the occupied Jerusalem.”

White House adviser, Jason Greenblatt and U.S. Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, took part in the event in East Jerusalem.– NNN-MENA
