SANAA, Yemen, June 30 (NNN-SABA) – Yemen’s Houthi rebels said, they launched fresh attack on Jizan airport in southern Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, using bomb-laden drones, the group’s al-Masirah TV reported.
“The attack hit aircraft hangars and caused halt in air traffic,” the television said, citing a statement from the group’s military spokesman, Yahya Sarea.
There were no confirmations from Saudi Arabia on the alleged attack.
According to Saudi state news agency, a Houthi drone attack on Abha airport last week killed a Syrian expatriate and wounded eight others, while another Houthi missile attack two weeks ago, on the same airport, injured 26 civilians.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a coalition to fight in Yemen for more than four years, in support of the exiled Yemeni government, against the Iran-allied Houthis.– NNN-SABA
