AMMAN, Jordan, June 27 (NNN-PETRA) – King Abdullah II of Jordan, on Wednesday, reaffirmed Jordan’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, the importance of upholding the rule of law, and the need to empower and support youth.
The King made such remarks, while chairing a National Policies Council meeting.
King Abdullah reiterated Jordan’s position on Jerusalem, stressing the importance of supporting Palestinians, as they seek their just and legitimate rights, leading to the establishment of an independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Speaking at the meeting, the King noted that Jordan’s position on the Palestinian issue is clear and well known to all.
Also on Wednesday, King Abdullah, in a phone call with Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, discussed the latest developments related to the Palestinian cause, in line with the ongoing coordination and consultations between the two sides.– NNN-PETRA
