KABUL, Afghanistan, June 26 (NNN-AGENCIES) – Two U.S. soldiers were killed in Afghanistan today (Wednesday), the NATO-led support mission in Afghanistan confirmed.
“I can confirm that two U.S. soldiers were killed in Afghanistan,” a spokeswoman of NATO-led support mission said, over the phone.
She did not provide more details about the incident, which caused the killings of the two soldiers, but Taliban said, their militants ambushed the U.S. forces in Sayed Abad of Wordak province, on Tuesday, and killed two U.S. soldiers.
The incident occurred hours after U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, paid an unannounced visit to Kabul on Tuesday.– NNN-AGENCIES
