Recently, U.S. military moves have caused new problems in the region, Rouhani said, in a meeting with visiting president of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Gabriela Cuevas Barron.

He said that the “U.S. unilateralism and violation of international regulation” is another reason for global and regional problems.

Rouhani decried U.S. sanctions against Iran as “economic terrorism.”

Iran ascribes high credit to IPU for its mission to develop peace and stability, Rouhani concluded.
