TONGREN, China, April 11 (AsiaNet-Bernama) — Mount Fanjingshan, located in Tongren City, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, covers an area of 775 square kilometers and serves as an important window for the geological evolution in south China and a crucial ecological barrier for the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
In 2024, Mount Fanjingshan was listed into the first batch of the top mountain travel destinations by the International Mountain Tourism Alliance, and included in the Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
