CARACAS, April 4 (NNN-XINHUA) — A flight carrying 313 Venezuelan migrants deported from the United States arrived Thursday in Caracas, where they were received by a government delegation led by Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello.

Departing from Mexico, the flight included 151 minors, six of whom were unaccompanied, Cabello said.

Another repatriation flight from the United States is scheduled for Friday.

The flights are part of Venezuela’s Return to the Homeland Plan, a government initiative to help citizens return with government support, Cabello said.

Thursday’s flight brought the total number of repatriated Venezuelan migrants to 1,610 and none had any links to the Tren de Aragua criminal group as Washington has claimed, Cabello added.

Venezuela and the United States agreed last month to resume repatriation flights for undocumented Venezuelans.

Since its launch in 2018, the Return to the Homeland Plan has facilitated the return of nearly 1 million Venezuelans. — NNN-XINHUA
