DAMASCUS, Mar 22 (NNN-SANA) – Zionist Israeli warplanes, carried out airstrikes yesterday, targeting Palmyra Military Airport and nearby military positions, in the central province of Homs, the local al-Ekhbaria TV reported.
The strikes reportedly targeted military installations close to the ancient city of Palmyra. The extent of the damage and whether there were casualties remains unclear.
The brutal Israeli regime has carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Syria in recent years, primarily targeting Iran-linked militias and Syrian military sites used for weapons storage and transport.
The latest strikes come, amid heightened regional tensions, following escalations along the Lebanese-Syrian border, and ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza.– NNN-SANA
