KABUL, March 19 (NNN-XINHUA) — The Afghan interim government’s Ministry of National Defense has repaired 2,010 military vehicles and 227 weaponry during the Persian calendar year 1403, the ministry said in a statement.
“Technicians and professional personnel of the army’s 201 corps have fixed 2,010 various types of military vehicles and 227 heavy and light weapons and made them ready for use within the past year,” the statement added.
Military equipment worth 7 billion U.S. dollars has reportedly been left in Afghanistan following the U.S.-led forces’ withdrawal from the war-torn country in August 2021.
The Persian calendar year of 1403 starts on March 20, 2024, and will end on Thursday. — NNN-XINHUA
