TUNIS, Tunisia, June 22 (NNN-TAP) – Tunisian maritime guard units, have foiled six attempts of illegal immigration to Italy, from the Tunisian coasts, said an official statement on Friday.
“Altogether 47 Tunisian people were arrested and six fishing boats were seized, during the illegal immigration attempts,” said Houssem Jbabli, spokesman of the National Guard.
Jbabli assured that, these failed attempts were detected in several coastal regions of the country.
Attempts of illegal immigration from the Tunisian coasts towards Italy, usually multiply during the summer season, due to favourable weather conditions.– NNN-TAP
