Golden Eagle Festival Kicked Off In Mongolia To Promote Ethnic Kazakh Culture

ULAN BATOR, Mar 9 (NNN-APA) – The 19th Golden Eagle Festival kicked off in Mongolia yesterday, to promote tourism and ethnic Kazakh culture.

A group of hunters from Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will compete in the two-day festival to catch stuffed animals with their specially trained golden eagles, showing off skills of both the birds and their trainers.

The festival also features Kazakh horse game and traditional handicrafts, clothing and food of the Kazakhs.

The festival is held twice a year in Mongolia, one in spring and another in autumn.– NNN-APA
