Special Passes For Investors, Expatriates Starting Apr: Malaysia Home Minister

KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 7 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Investors or groups of expatriates, will be eligible for special passes starting Apr 1, to enable them to stay longer in the country for business and investment purposes, Home Minister, Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, said.

The special passes will be a single window method, to facilitate the entry of those who qualify, and the passes will be issued electronically, Saifuddin told the country’s lower house of parliament yesterday, in response to a question on the government’s efforts to improve and simplify such procedures.

“We will issue new passes only for investors, to enable easier entry, and ease of doing business is what we want to see. The faster we process their applications, the easier it is for them to accept the business climate in our country,” he said.– NNN-BERNAMA
