Kazakhstan And Qatar To Cooperate In Criminal Investigations

ALMATY, Mar 7 (NNN-KTA) – Members of the Kazakh Senate, ratified two agreements yesterday, to enhance cooperation with Qatar, in mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, and the extradition of criminals, the Senate’s press service announced.

The agreements allow both countries to exchange legal information, assist in investigations, and locate and identify suspects.

They also establish the conditions and procedures for extradition, ensuring that Kazakh citizens cannot be handed over to another state, while outlining the procedures for detention.

According to lawmakers, the ratification of these agreements will strengthen legal cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar, in combating crime and contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations.– NNN-KTA
