HANOI, Mar 6 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam’s state budget collection, posted a 25.7 percent year-on-year growth, in the first two months of this year, reaching 499.8 trillion Vietnamese dong (19.6 billion U.S. dollars), it was reported yesterday, citing the Ministry of Finance.
The growth has met 25.4 percent of the yearly projection, said the report.
The ministry attributed the strong performance to solid economic growth in 2024, which drove up corporate income tax and value-added tax collections.
Thirty-seven out of the 63 localities reported domestic revenue exceeding 20 percent of their targets, while 48 localities recorded year-on-year revenue growth.
The Vietnamese government has set a target of more than 1.96 quadrillion dong (76.8 billion dollars) for total state budget collection, this year.– NNN-VNA
