COLOMBO, Mar 2 (NNN-XINHUA) – A total of 33 people were injured, when a bus carrying pilgrims collided with a lorry, in Muthur, Trincomalee district, in Eastern province, yesterday, police said.
The bus was going from Sri Lanka’s Western province to a pilgrimage site in Eastern province.
The injured have been admitted to the Muthur Hospital for treatment, police said, adding that, 18 of the injured are women.
Police are investigating the accident.– NNN-XINHUA
