YANGON, Mar 2 (NNN-MNA) – An agricultural and livestock fair, to mark Farmers’ Day, kicked off in the commercial city of Yangon, yesterday, the state-run television channel, Myanmar Radio and Television, reported.
The fair was organised to honour farmers working in agriculture and livestock, the report said.
It showcased seeds, vegetables, kitchen gardening, animal breeding and animal feed.
Arrangements have been made for farmers to participate in contract farming, in collaboration with agricultural and livestock banks.
The fair will run until today.
Farmers’ Day, also known as Peasants’ Day in Myanmar, falls on March 2, every year.– NNN-MNA
