Diver Died Following Suspected Medical Episode At South Australian Beach

CANBERRA, Feb 28 (NNN-AAP) – A man died after suffering a suspected medical episode, while scuba diving at a beach in South Australia (SA).

SA Police said yesterday that, emergency services were called to Port Noarlunga beach, about 25 kilometres south-west of central Adelaide, just after 1:30 p.m. local time, after a 64-year-old man was pulled from the water.

Police said in a statement that the man “may have suffered a medical episode,” while diving near the Port Noarlunga Jetty, a wooden pier that leads to a small reef.

“Paramedics worked desperately to revive the man but sadly he died at the scene,” SA Police said.

“There are no suspicious circumstances.”– NNN-AAP
