Sudanese Military Plane Crashed North Of Capital Khartoum, Causing Deaths

KHARTOUM, Feb 26 (NNN-SUNA) – A Sudanese military plane, crashed yesterday, in Omdurman city, north of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, killing its crew and several Sudanese army officers, according to a military source.

“The ill-fated plane, Antonov, crashed over Al-Hara (district) 76 of Karari locality, north of Omdurman, due to a technical fault,” the military source, who preferred anonymity, said.

“The plane was on a military mission, transporting several high-ranking officers along with a crew of four officers,” the source added.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness from the Karari area said, “The plane was flying at a low altitude before it suddenly plummeted and caught fire.”– NNN-SUNA
