Kazakh Government Provides 116 Billion Tenge To Support Agricultural Producers

ALMATY, Feb 26 (NNN-KTA) – Kazakh Prime Minister, Olzhas Bektenov signed a resolution to allocate over 116 billion tenge (about 232 million U.S. dollars) from the government’s reserve, to support the country’s agricultural producers, the government’s press service said, in a press release, yesterday.

The document was signed, following the president’s instruction, to provide preferential financing for sowing and harvesting operations, in the amount of at least 700 billion tenge (about 1.4 billion U.S. dollars).

The allocated funds will be used to finance the sowing and harvesting operations of the agricultural producers in 2025, and also their purchase of domestically produced machinery.

The government had already ensured the allocation of the first 100 billion tenge (about 200 million U.S. dollars) in Dec last year, to increase funding for spring fieldwork and harvesting operations in 2025, according to the press release.– NNN-KTA
