Apartment Fire Killed One In Tokyo’s Setagaya

TOKYO, Feb 25 (NNN-NHK) – A fire broke out early today, in a three-storey apartment building, in a residential area of Setagaya Ward of Tokyo, leaving one dead.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and the Tokyo Fire Department, emergency services received a report of the fire at around 4:30 a.m. local time.

The fire engulfed the second and third floors of the building, and one person was rescued from the second floor but was later confirmed dead.

The incident occurred in a residential area about 300 metres east of Kyodo Station, on the Odakyu Odawara Line.– NNN-NHK
