BISHKEK, Feb 22 (NNN-KNA) – Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan signed a final protocol, on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, during a joint meeting in Bishkek, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan announced, yesterday.
The Kyrgyz Cabinet highlighted that, the parties had initialed several key projects, including an agreement on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, agreements on the construction and use of highways, an arrangement for a highway intersection, and measures to ensure access to water management and energy facilities.
The two countries signed the final protocol, prepared for the signing by the heads of state, on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, according to Kamchybek Tashiev, chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for National Security. He stated that, today (yesterday) is a special and historic day for the people of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.– NNN-KNA
