MEXICO CITY, Feb 17 (NNN-XINHUA) — At least six people died in a multiple-vehicle collision on the Mexico-Puebla highway in central Mexico, local authorities said.
The accident occurred in the area known as Llano Grande belonging to the municipality of Ixtapaluca in the central state of Mexico.
A trailer lost control, entered the opposite lanes, and collided head-on with a gas tanker truck and several other vehicles, including a private ambulance, said the state’s Federal Roads and Bridges and Related Services.
The crash caused a fire that consumed the trailer heading towards Mexico City, while the gas tanker truck struck and knocked down a retaining wall. — NNN-XINHUA
