March, April Temperatures In Sri Lanka Expected To Be Higher Than Previous Years

COLOMBO, Feb 15 (NNN-XINHUA) – There is a possibility that temperatures in Sri Lanka, during March and April this year, will be higher than in previous years, said a meteorologist today.

Speaking to the media about the ongoing dry weather conditions, Malith Fernando, a meteorologist from the country’s meteorological department, said that, the likelihood of heatwaves will increase in the coming months.

He explained that heatwaves are expected to occur more frequently in the future, due to global warming, which is significantly impacting weather patterns.

Sri Lanka has been experiencing dry weather over the past few weeks, with temperatures reaching the mid-30 degrees Celsius in most regions.– NNN-XINHUA
