JERUSALEM, June 19 (NNN-MA’AN) – Some 23 vehicles, belonging to Palestinians were vandalised Tuesday overnight, in suspected hate crime attack by far-right Israelis in the West Bank town of Deir Istiya, Israel’s police said.
Residents of the town, located southwest of Nablus city, reported to the Israeli police that tires of cars were slashed and hate graffiti were spray-painted, according to a statement released by the police.
It said that Israeli police and military forces had arrived at the village to collect evidence.
The police said, the attack is investigated as a possible “price tag” attack, assaults by ultra-nationalist Israelis against Palestinians and their property, including mosques, synagogues, and cemeteries.
Last Thursday, four vehicles and a mosque in the village of Einbus, in the northern West Bank, were sabotaged.
Thousands of these “price-tag” attacks have been carried out over the past years.– NNN-MA’AN
