RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, June 18 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi King, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has donated one million U.S. dollars, to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), it was reported on Monday.
The financial support would be allocated to the ongoing ICAO “No Country Left Behind” initiative, under which ICAO provides or coordinates assistance and capacity building, in order to augment the global effective implementation of ICAO’s standards and policies.
Saudi Arabia donated the same amount to the organisation in 2016, in which the assistance has helped in enhancing civil aviation safety and security, in the Middle East and Africa, Head of General Authority for Civil Aviation, Abdelhadi Bin Ahmad Al-Mansouri, said.– NNN-SPA
