SINGAPORE, Jan 21 (NNN-XINHUA) – Two people died and one was hospitalised, following a traffic accident on a Singapore expressway early this morning, local media reported.
The crash occurred around 5:40 a.m. (2140 GMT on Monday) and involved a motorcycle and a lorry, on the Bukit Timah Expressway in central Singapore.
Authorities closed two rightmost lanes for investigation, causing significant traffic delays during the morning rush hour, with queues extending to the Woodlands checkpoint connecting ground traffic with Malaysia.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed that one person was sent to the hospital, while two others were pronounced dead at the scene.– NNN-XINHUA
