TASHKENT, Jan 18 (NNN-UzA) – Uzbekistan’s GDP increased by 6.5 percent in 2024, local media yesterday, cited the press service of the Uzbek President.
“As a result of the country’s policy of openness and active capital attraction, the economy continues to grow steadily,” it said.
“In particular, in 2024, the gross domestic product increased by 6.5 percent, reaching 115 billion U.S. dollars,” it noted.
According to the press service, a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Uzbek President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Thursday, the main tasks on investments and exports for the current year were defined. The president emphasised that, increasing the efficiency of investments should become the main task of regional and industry leaders.
