ISLAMABAD, Jan 4 (NNN-APP) – Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, said yesterday that, the country’s economic progress hinges on achieving complete peace in the face of the prevailing security challenges, the Prime Minister’s office said, in a statement.
Chairing a meeting of the Apex Committee on the National Action Plan here, Sharif said that, his government is committed to eliminating terrorism and improving the country’s security landscape for economic development.
He also called for a unified approach involving federal, provincial, and defence institutions to combat terrorism effectively, adding that, a coordinated strategy is the need of the hour, to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to play a constructive role in international diplomacy, and uphold its responsibilities as a member of the global community.– NNN-APP
