HANOI, Dec 31 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam’s rice exports set new records in both volume and value, this year, at nine million tonnes and 5.7 billion U.S. dollars, said the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The rice exports represented a rise of 11 percent in volume, and 24 percent in value over 2023, it was reported today.
The average rice export prices this year also set a record high of more than 600 dollars per tonne.
The Philippines is Vietnam’s largest rice import market, with a volume of 3.6 million tonnes.– NNN-VNA
