NEW DELHI, Dec 27 (NNN-PTI) – The death toll in a tanker fire incident last week, in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, rose to 19, officials said yesterday.
According to health officials, many of the injured succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
“Today one man succumbed to his injuries. Last evening three of the injured, including a severely burnt woman, succumbed to their injuries, taking the death toll in the tanker fire incident to 19,” Superintendent at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital, Dr. Sushil Bhati, said.
At present, 11 people are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
On Dec 20, a liquified petroleum gas tanker blasted and triggered a massive fire, engulfing several vehicles on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway, near Bhankrota in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan.– NNN-PTI
