12 Indian Nationals Killed Over Carbon Monoxide Poisoning In Georgia

NEW DELHI, Dec 17 (NNN-PTI) – At least 12 Indian nationals were killed, due to carbon monoxide poisoning in Georgia, officials said, yesterday.

The bodies were found on the second floor of an Indian food restaurant, at a ski resort in Gudauri. The victims were identified as employees working in the restaurant.

“A Consular officer has reached Gudauri. Mission is in touch with the local authorities, to get details of the Indian nationals who lost their lives,” the Indian embassy in Georgia said, in a statement.

Local media reports, quoting Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said, no signs of injuries or violence were detected during the initial inspection of the bodies.– NNN-PTI
