TUNIS, Dec 10 (NNN-TAP) – Tunisia’s Foreign Ministry, yesterday, called on Syrian factions, to unite and prioritise national interests, to preserve the country’s security, independence, and stability.
Tunisia stressed the importance of ensuring the security of the Syrian people, and a peaceful political transition in Syria, the ministry said in a statement.
It also highlighted the need to preserve the Syrian state as a unified, fully sovereign state, to avoid chaos, divisions, and foreign occupation, adding, the North African country rejected any foreign interference in Syrian affairs.
Tunisia also affirmed its “absolute” solidarity with the Syrian people, highlighting the deep-rooted ties between the two nations. The statement conveyed Tunisia’s confidence in Syrians’ ability to navigate the current challenges and build a bright future.– NNN-TAP
