Strong Winds, Heavy Rain Hit Western, Eastern Japan

TOKYO, Nov 26 (NNN-NHK) – Strong winds, heavy rain and unstable atmospheric conditions will sweep western and eastern Japan through Wednesday, according to Japan’s Meteorological Agency (JMA).

Northern Kyushu is particularly at risk for violent winds, while regions from the South-west Islands to eastern Japan should brace for thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail and sudden downpours, the forecast warned.

Eastern Japan will see intensified weather by tomorrow evening, with localised heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

The JMA advises residents to remain alert for signs of severe weather, such as darkening skies or sudden cold gusts, and to take shelter indoors, if such conditions appear.– NNN-NHK
