NEW DELHI, Nov 23 (NNN-PTI) – Two Indian fishermen went missing, after their fishing vessel collided with an Indian submarine, about 70 nautical miles north-west of the southern coastal state of Goa, confirmed a source in the Indian navy, yesterday.
There were a total 13 fishermen on the vessel and 11 of them were rescued instantly.
“Search and Rescue efforts for the remaining two (fishermen) is underway, and is being coordinated with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, Mumbai,” said an Indian navy statement.
The cause of the collision between the submarine and fishing vessel was currently under investigation.– NNN-PTI
