KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Nov 17 (NNN-ANA) – Afghan security forces, seized 188 kg of drugs, used in the manufacturing of heroin, in southern Kandahar province, provincial police spokesman, Mullah Asadullah Jamshidi, said yesterday.
The contraband was confiscated during a counter-narcotic operation, conducted in Ghorak district of this province, the official said, adding that, further investigation is underway.
The Afghanistan administration has banned poppy cultivation, and vowed to crack down on all illicit drugs.– NNN-ANA
