ACCRA, Nov 17 (NNN-GNA) — One of Ghana Women’s Premier League teams, Lady Strikers, were involved in an accident on the Accra-Tema Motorway on Saturday, according to ghanasoccernet.com.
Reports have indicated that the team’s bus veered off its lane and tipped over toward the roadside, causing the vehicle to lock and fall.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of fatalities.
The accident occurred while the team was en route to face Halifax Ladies in round four of the 2024/2025 Women’s Premier League at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park in Tema New Town.
Lady Strikers, based in Cape Coast, have had a challenging start to the season, collecting only four points from their first three matches. — NNN-GNA
