Six Youths Died In North India Road Mishap

NEW DELHI, Nov 13 (NNN-PTI) – Six young students, including three boys and three girls, aged between 19 and 24 years, died in a heart wrenching road accident, in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand yesterday, confirmed a local police.

The accident occurred in the state capital, Dehradun, at around 02:00pm, after the SUV carrying the youths rammed into a stationary heavy vehicle and then hit a tree.

While six occupants of the SUV died instantly, one was admitted to a local hospital in a serious condition. All the victims were local residents and were out for a picnic when the mishap took place.

The impact of the accident was such that the SUV was badly mangled, and the victims were brought out of it with the help of gas-cutters.– NNN-PTI
