WINDHOEK, Oct 29 (NNN-XINHUA) — Namibia’s Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah announced the governing SWAPO Party’s election manifesto so it can be easily understood.
“‘Turning Vision into Reality’ is about ensuring that our manifesto is not just words on a page but a roadmap to real, tangible progress for every Namibian and of course for every African because whatever we do in our countries as Africa Union (AU) Member States, will contribute to the attainment of the AU Agenda 2063,” she said in a statement at a manifesto public lecture in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.
Nandi-Ndaitwah declared the 2025-2030 SWAPO Party Election Manifesto outlines the SWAPO Party’s vision for the future.
“It is not just a set of ideals, it is a commitment to action, a framework designed to address the pressing issues of our time. It is a blueprint for inclusive economic growth, youth empowerment, job creation, healthcare, and social welfare,” she said.
According to Nandi-Ndaitwah, the days of relying on one or two key sectors must be put an end to.
“Through targeted support for small and medium enterprises, and focused industrial strategies, we can create sustainable jobs and ensure that wealth is spread across our society, rather than being concentrated in the hands of just a few,” she said, noting that SWAPO Party is committed to broadening economic participation to uplift marginalized communities.
Nandi-Ndaitwah pledged that come March 2025 SWAPO will hit the ground running, to make sure it meets its commitments to the people.
“We are here to turn policy into practice, to turn promises into deliverables, and to ensure that no Namibian is left behind as we chart the course toward sustained economic and social progress, through social economic transformation,” she concluded.
Since Namibia’s independence in 1990, SWAPO has been the governing party in the southwest African nation. Namibians will go to the polls for presidential and National Assembly elections, scheduled for Nov 27. — NNN-XINHUA
