BANGI, Oct 21 (Bernama) — Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation supports the newly tabled budget of the MADANI government, which includes funding for sustainable development initiatives that support green technology and renewable energy projects that boost employment and the economy.
In the proposal, the government will continue the successful Green Technology Financial Scheme (GTFS) and sustain the programme through 2026 with a total finance amount of 1 billion ringgit. The GTFS scheme started over a decade ago. So far, it has generated RM6.264 billion in green technology investment through 458 projects, created 5579 green jobs, and recorded a 5.912 mil tCO2e/year reduction.
