NEW DELHI, Oct 20 (NNN-PTI) – At least 12 people, including eight children and two women, died, and several others were injured, in a road accident in India’s western state of Rajasthan, on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, confirmed local police over the phone.
The road mishap occurred in the state’s Dholpur area, when a bus rammed into the vehicle carrying the victims. The bus was moving at a high speed from Dholpur towards the state capital, Jaipur.
Giving details, Incharge of the Bari Kotwali police station, Shiv Lahari Meena says, “Yesterday at around 11:00 p.m., a bus was going from Dhaulpur to Jaipur. The accident took place near Sunipur village. 12 people have lost their lives in the accident.”
The victims were returning from a pre-wedding ceremony at their relatives’ house in Dholpur. Those injured were admitted to a local hospital.– NNN-PTI
