HANOI, Oct 11 (NNN-VNA) – Nearly 121,900 enterprises were newly established in Vietnam, in the first nine months of this year, with a total registered capital of over 1.1 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (44.2 billion U.S. dollars), according to the General Statistics Office.
The number of newly-established firms and their registered capital increased 3.4 percent, year on year, said the office.
The enterprises are employing over 735,000 labourers.
The number of new firms established in the period rose 4.4 percent, in the service sector, 0.9 percent, in the industry and construction sector, and decreased 5.6 percent, in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector, compared to the same period last year.
From Jan to Sept, more than 61,100 enterprises, which had temporarily ceased operations, resumed their activities, posting a year-on-year increase of 25 percent, according to the report.– NNN-VNA
