BEIRUT, Lebanon, June 9 (NNN-NNA) – Lebanese military sources, said that, Israeli activities on the borders indicate the possible occurrence of an imminent military operation, Asharq al-Awsat local newspaper reported, on Saturday.
The military sources added that, if Israel decides to escalate tensions, it is capable of coming up with different excuses to launch a military operation against Lebanon.
“The danger of a possible future war comes from Israel, instead of Lebanon,” the sources added.
Israel has been conducing several activities on its borders with Lebanon, including the installation of inspection cameras and the building of a cement wall.
Lebanon noted that Israeli war planes violate Lebanon’s airspace several times per day.
Israel and Hezbollah fought a month-long war in 2006 which ended in a cease-fire.– NNN-NNA
