ISLAMABAD, Oct 5 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan signed four memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with Malaysia, to boost trade between the two countries, the commerce ministry said in a statement, here.
Pakistan and Malaysia’s Business Councils signed the MoUs to enhance cooperation in halal trade, the statement said, on Thursday.
Apart from that, three agreements were also signed between Pakistani and Malaysian companies, in the fields of meat distribution, buy now, pay later service and chemical manufacturing.
These agreements mark a step towards strengthening trade and business relations between the two countries, the statement added.
The agreements were made during the ongoing official visit of Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, to Pakistan.
Later addressing the Pakistan-Malaysia High Level Business Dialogue, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, pledged to offer the best possible facilities to the Pakistani and Malaysian business communities, to boost their commercial activities.
He emphasised the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and highlighted the significance of collaboration between their business sectors for mutual prosperity, the prime minister’s office said in a statement.– NNN-APP
