NEW DELHI, Sept 27 (NNN-PTI) – At least 46 people, including 37 children, drowned across the eastern Indian state of Bihar, while taking dips during a religious festival, officials said, yesterday.
The people had gathered near rivers and ponds across the state, to take what they say holy dips as part of the Jivitputrika festival.
According to officials from Bihar Disaster Management Department, the deaths were reported from across 15 districts of the state, during the festival on Wednesday.– NNN-PTI
