JALALABAD, Afghanistan, June 8 (NNN-AGENCIES) – At least two militants, affiliated with the hardliner Daesh group, have been confirmed dead, as unmanned plane struck their hideout in Khogiani district of the eastern Nangarhar province, on Friday, said an army statement released here today (Saturday).
Acting upon intelligence report, the unmanned plane pounded a hideout of the Daesh outfit in Waziro Tangi area of Khogiani district, Saturday afternoon, killing two armed insurgents on the spot, and destroying the hideout and their arms and ammunition, the statement asserted.
Militants loyal to the hardliner Daesh group, who are active in parts of Nangarhar and the neighbouring Kunar and Nuristan provinces, are yet to make comment on the report.– NNN-AGENCIES
