Philippines Quezon City Fire Leaves 120  Families Homeless

MANILA, Philippines, June 8 (NNN-PNA) – At least 120 families lost their homes after a fire razed a slum area in Quezon City yesterday afternoon.

The blaze started in the kitchen of a two-story home and quickly spread to neighbouring houses along Borromeo street, in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa.

Senior Superintendent, Jaime Ramirez, city fire marshal, said, the fire started at around 3:27 p.m. and reached third alarm, before it was put out around three hours later.– NNN-PNA
