Gunman On The Run After Shooting In Sydney

SYDNEY, Sept 20 (NNN-AAP) – A gunman is on the run, after a man was shot in Sydney’s western suburbs, in the early hours of the morning.

Police in the state of New South Wales (NSW), said that, they were called to a house in Wetherill Park – approximately 25 km west of Sydney’s central business district – following reports of gunfire at 3:30 am local time today.

Officers found a man, believed to be aged in his 30s, at the property with gunshot wounds to his leg and hand.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

News Corp Australia newspapers reported that, the victim was inside the home when he was shot.

Police have established a crime scene at the house and have launched a search for the shooter.– NNN-AAP
